“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.”
-Winston Churchill
Remaining optimistic in the face of adversity is a learned skill. Despite the understanding that individuals are born either naturally optimistic or pessimistic, one can move closer to optimism and improve their lot in life.
We all face negative life experiences. We must learn to be more open to opportunities that others may miss when the World is falling down. Consider your blessings and what you have achieved when the tables turn against you. What opportunities and investments are there when the market takes a dive?
The first step towards being more optimistic in your views is to take an honest assessment of your current situation. What can you change today? What steps have helped you out of situations in the past? Who is in your life that you are thankful to be around? For me, supportive family and life achievements fuel my optimism. Take stock of your situation and look on the bright side.
